Data backup to data center
Instead of making backups and data backups only on local media, it makes sense to have backups also externally and outside the company.
Malware and ransomware often attack local backup media in the same way as they attack data media built into computers. Such backups do not provide protection if the data is encrypted by ransomware or the media is irreparably damaged.
Our backup solution prevents such problems by storing the data on redundant storage systems in data centers in Austria, Switzerland or Germany.

You can choose between server locations in Austria, the ecological one in Switzerland or Germany. All locations are DSGVO compliant, on request you will receive an order data processing contract.
The storage systems for the backup systems have redundant data storage. The failure of individual data carriers or power supply units does not lead to an interruption and can be replaced by our technicians during operation. This ensures that the data is always available.
Should the storage requirements increase, the required storage space is simply made available during operation.
The storage is provided as S3 Obect Storage, via WEBDAV or SFTP.

How does the backup or data protection work?
At the peaknetworks sites in the data centers in Austria, Switzerland and Germany, data is stored on servers and storage subsystems from HP Enterprise.
These systems are designed to be fault-tolerant; defective components are replaced during operation.
Our customers store the backup data on our systems via various backup clients.
Since 2022 we have been working with cyminds and the cyStorage 365 solution. This involves backing up companies of all sizes using the backup client solution for all operating systems and cloud solutions such as MS Azure, Office 365, AWS and Google Cloud in peaknetworks S3 Object Storage.
This provides protection against data loss, malware and ransomware.
