Since 2026, we have been operating our infrastructure at the LEW Green Data Center in Augsburg. This allows us to provide you with hosting and cloud services from a modern, highly available, and particularly sustainable data center in Germany.

Eco-Friendly Data Center Augsburg

The LEW Green Data Center in Augsburg opened in 2025. It stands out for its exceptional commitment and dedication to the mission of operating a truly eco-friendly data center. It is capable of covering 100% of its regular operations with renewable energy: on the one hand through its own photovoltaic system, and on the other through electricity from regional hydropower.

It also does without battery storage and instead uses a kinetic energy storage system in the form of a flywheel. Energy-intensive cooling systems are largely avoided. At temperatures of up to 30 °C, evaporative cooling is used instead. Water is atomized and introduced into the air duct to cool the hardware in a particularly energy-efficient way.

The data center also features air-to-air heat exchangers for heat recovery. All of this results in a Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) of ≤ 1.2 when fully built out. Even beyond its actual operation, the data center stands out with green roofs and facades that support the building's natural cooling and prevent it from heating up excessively due to solar radiation and warm outdoor air. In doing so, the data center reinforces its goal of being a truly eco-friendly and sustainable data center.

Highest Security Standards

The data center meets the highest security standards and provides a verifiable, compliant operational framework. It is certified by TÜV Süd according to DIN EN 50600 and ISO/IEC 27001, thereby meeting demanding requirements for security and operations. In addition, it features comprehensive physical security measures and is connected via a multiply redundant Internet backbone. It provides Internet backbone availability of 99.95% and power availability of 99.9%. This makes it ideally suited for operating critical IT systems.
