The Solution for High VMware Costs
WE EVALUATE MIGRATION SCENARIOS WITH YOU FOR FREE TO SWITCH TO A MORE COST-EFFECTIVE AND ESTABLISHED VIRTUALIZATION ENVIRONMENT!
After Broadcom Inc. acquired the software company VMware in November 2023, a new licensing model was introduced. This has led to a significant increase in licensing costs and added complexity for many VMware customers.
Due to this unsatisfactory situation for many VMware users, many companies are now looking for alternative virtualization solutions.
Peaknetworks offers an established virtualization environment in highly available, state-of-the-art data centers in Switzerland, Austria, and Germany as an alternative.
Migrating to a new virtualization platform is straightforward but still requires careful planning and the necessary expertise.
To facilitate your transition to a more cost-effective yet powerful virtualization environment, we offer a free evaluation of possible migration scenarios.
Our recommended approach includes the following three steps:
1. Analysis of the Current Environment
We begin with an analysis of your existing VMware infrastructure. This includes examining hardware and software configurations, usage patterns, and the specific requirements of your applications and systems and their interdependencies.
2. Migration Planning
Based on the analysis results, we develop a migration plan with you that includes the necessary steps for a smooth transition of your IT infrastructure.
3. Pilot Project
Advantages of Migration to peaknetworks VPS
Migrating from VMware to XCP-ng is straightforward. The VM is exported from VMware and imported into XCP-ng. After the import, the VMware Guest Tools are uninstalled, and the new XCP-ng Management Tools are installed.
You will then receive a Wireguard VPN access through which you can administer your VM or multiple VMs (access to the console/start/stop, reboot, snapshots, etc.)
We take care of operations 24/7.
You can choose between server locations in Austria, the eco-friendly one in Switzerland, or Germany. All hosting is GDPR compliant, and you can receive a data processing agreement upon request.
- XCP-ng from Vates as a stable enterprise platform
- HP Enterprise Server with SSD
- Top support with VMware and XCP-ng know-how
- Business SLA with 24/7 monitoring
Administration Interface of the VMs
The administration of the VMs is done through the web browser. All statistics, stop/start/restart functions, snapshots, configuration, and access to the console are available here.
