The only thing you need is that your domain's DNS servers are registered with peaknetworks, as the validation of the Let's Encrypt SSL certificate is done through an additional DNS record.

Is there an automatic installation of DokuWiki?
We install it for you. After ordering, you will receive the administrator access to the latest and freshly installed DokuWiki.

Can we migrate an external DokuWiki from our server to yours?
We transfer your existing DokuWiki hosting from your server for free. For this, we need FTP or SSH/SFTP access.

How secure is the DokuWiki hosting?
The operating system, Nginx, and Apache, as well as PHP and MariaDB, are continuously updated and patched for security vulnerabilities. We update the hosted DokuWikis free of charge upon request. These measures, along with firewalls in front of the web servers, make the DokuWikis very secure. It is also possible to include the URL of your wiki in monitoring. The wiki is then continuously monitored by the NOC.

Does the hosting support DokuWiki plugins and themes?
Absolutely. All themes and DokuWiki plugins are supported. However, sometimes certain plugins and themes require specific PHP versions. The PHP version can be set in the control panel, but themes and plugins must all use the same version.

How is the performance and scalability?
For a high number of users or requests to the wiki, we offer an upgrade to the next larger plan. In the past 10 years, we have met all requirements for even very complex wikis with our HP Enterprise servers.

How is data backup and recovery handled?
We perform a nightly backup of all files and retain these for 10 days each. If you want individual files, directories, or the entire DokuWiki restored, simply send an email to support@peaknetworks.net. We restore the data for free.

How about the SSL certificate?
Each hosting includes a free Let's Encrypt SSL certificate for the associated domains. The domain can be registered with us or externally. For external domains, a specific DNS entry is required to initially order and automatically renew the SSL certificate.
