  The data is stored in one of the data centers where peaknetworks hosts its servers. You can choose between Austria, Switzerland, or Germany as the location. If you do not specify, your hosting will be located in the country from which the order was placed.

• How secure is Nextcloud hosting?

  The operating system, Nginx and Apache, as well as PHP and MariaDB, are continuously updated and patched by us in case of security vulnerabilities. Data transmission is secured through a free SSL certificate. The files in your Nextcloud are backed up for 10 days retroactively. We update the Nextcloud instances we host for free upon request. Through these measures and firewalls in front of the web servers, Nextcloud instances are very secure. It is also possible to add the URL of your cloud to monitoring, so your personal online cloud storage is constantly monitored by our NOC.

• How does backup work with Nextcloud?

  Every night, a complete backup of the database and all files is created. This data is retained for 10 days. We restore the data free of charge upon request.
